Hi i have a peugeot 206 1.4 51plate came in with non starting due to ecu failure
i changed the ecu,bsi and decoder ring but i didn't have the pod for the key.
Originally the fuel pump wouldn't operate as the ecu was not working the parts were from a donor car but the keys were away pump operates fine now but must be immobilized as pod wont match
My question is can i bypass immo to check it will run or do i need to have it reprogrammed or which diagnostic machine can i use to get it running
Thanks for any help

hi,

first you need to give us a diag report,

then after it will be easy to find the solution, give me the ref for ecu to tell you if possible to bypass immo or not !

Hi i forgot to lift the paper with the ECU number on it but i tried to read the codes with my autocom it would not recognise the Ecu but i got it to work on the Multifunction tab where it said
- Key programming not done

- Present
- - Key programming not done
- Intermittent
- - Communication, engine management unit
- Present
- - Communication, engine management unit
- Intermittent
- - Remote control programming not done
- Intermittent
- - Battery in remote controller exhausted
- Intermittent
I then put in the old Ecu,Bsi and ring decoder read the codes again still no communication apart for Multifunction where i cleared the codes but no sound from the fuel pump and wouldn't start
Thanks for any help

Check com lines from/to ecu. Without com it just can't start.

Hi sorry to keep repeating Lexia 3 (revision c) arrived today plugged it into Peugeot 206 no communication with ECU tried Citroen Xsara Picasso same result green light flashes 4 times then solid if i unplug it then connect again it will see the ECU for about 10 seconds then no communication again. This is the second VCI i have bought with the same results. The latest one is supposed to have full chip and original octocuplers
Can it be a software issue or is it another defective unit
Thanks for any pointers

Some psa cars when ecu is locked you can not diagnose that module.First you must make keys or match to bsi, then check can-van lines from bsi to ecu and power supply from bsm module to ecu.

you must to know the pin code from ECU...then virginize BSI (ALL eeprom must to be FFFFFFF)...then recodem bsi with VIN and pincod finded on ecu, recode keys, and voila

Hi thanks for the reply when you say ecu pin code is that the 4 digit security code. I don't have the security code and as i said the second Lexia (clone) that i bought wont connect to the ECU i have tried it on a 2001 307,2002 xsara picasso and a 2001 206 none of them have any dialogue with the car i did manage to get a 2004 xsara picasso see the BSI but that was all
I sent traces of the connections to the seller who said their technician would look at them
so i will have to wait till then
Thanks

The problem i have is that i still can't get any dialogue with any ECU i am sick of the seller telling me to try older software or other ways but still no connection i have asked the seller for a replacement board for the VCI but still waiting on a reply
If i unplug it i get it to work for about 10 seconds (relays click) then for it to read anything else i have to unplug then in at the usb then it stops again
I have even installed Lexia 3-45 and PP2000 in another laptop with a fresh install of XP
Thanks for any help

It seems that PP2000 and Diagbox software can not be installed in the same PC, you did that? install them in different computer please, if your lexia-3 can not work, you can have a look at SVDI PSA (http://www.diyobd2.fr/wholesale/svdi-psa-abrites-commander-pour-peugeot-et-citroen.html)

Well just to let you know the seller from Aliexpress waited till the payment protection expired then told me they would not send a replacement as it was a system fault (my laptop) and not the Vci.I have installed three separate versions in three laptops (diagbox 7.43 and 5.29 lexia 3.47 and pp2000)
and still no joy
I did get a connection to a 2004 Picasso 1.6hdi but only to the Bsi the cars i have tried are 2001 Peugeot 206 1.4,2002 Picasso 2.0hdi 2004 Picasso 1.6hdi
Peugeot 307 2.0hdi 2004 peugeot 206 1.4
Only one bit of connection and that was the Bsi i dont want to buy another one to find out the same result
If it was the way i have installed the software or something i have not activated or enabled would this cause the problems i have had with two machines
Thanks for any help

You do get the message that the interface is activated after installation is complete?

Hi Thanks the computer recognizes the interface i just get no communication with the ECU on any car i try
The first interface i bought i got the update with help from Mr nic and still no communication so i bought an interface with full Nec chips and 7 optucouplers which was more expensive and i still cant get it to work i have tried 3 separate laptops all with windows xp i would probably benefit from someone close by who has a working interface trying my one to see if it the way i have installed it or the interface its self
Thanks

O.k., got it You got all your interfaces from the same supplier?

sauzee1
09/12/2014, 23h09
No 2 different suppliers as the first one did not have a version c and only had second rate chips that is why i thought the first one wouldn't work because it was cheap £38 second one cost about £80 that is a full chip version c
I got the same result with both no communication to the ECU
Thanks

Well, it was just on one car one might think it`s related to the vehichle. But as you stae it is on a couple.... Hopefully you'll find someone close to you with a working unit to compare to, br.
